Handpainted Candles & Accessories
These are recycled placemats that I laundered and then painted the artwork in acrylics. This is painted with fabric paint and can be washed on the gently cycle, lay flat to dry and touch up with an iron if necessary. The measurements of the mat are about 17" across X about 13" from top to bottom. The new candle is also handpainted with acrylics. This may be very gently wiped with a soft cloth to clean so the painting is not removed.
The wooden candle rest is painted in acrylics and sealed with polycrylic and can be cleaned with a soft cloth.
I like to give new life to an item that has been discared creating something beautiful and doing a bit to save our environment. There may be some minor discoloration on the mat that is covered with the decorator candle set.
